Lingcod is the new Halibut for 2022!

In a blind taste test Heidi chooses Lingcod!  "I actually preferred the Lingcod to the Halibut.  The taste is almost identical, however the Lingcod is a bit richer due to a higher fat content".  Halibut prices were sky high this summer so we decided to go with, what we feel is an excellent alternative.  In our opinion, our Lingcod is just as good and a much better value!

With a sweet, delicate flavor and a firm flaky texture, Alaska Halibut has earned its reputation as the worlds premium white fish.  Know as the "steak of seafood", it is great for grilling, roasting or pan frying.

This was our first purchase of halibut from Wild Salmon Company and we are delighted. It has a fabulous taste and freshness to it. This is a new favorite seafood for us and we'll be buying more of it in the future.

I made boullibase with the halibut portions. The fish maintained it's firmness even after simmering on low x 2 hours. Excellent taste, will definitely buy it again!
