Lingcod is the new Halibut for 2022!
In a blind taste test Heidi chooses Lingcod! "I actually preferred the Lingcod to the Halibut. The taste is almost identical, however the Lingcod is a bit richer due to a higher fat content". Halibut prices were sky high this summer so we decided to go with, what we feel is an excellent alternative. In our opinion, our Lingcod is just as good and a much better value!
Lingcod is a sweet, mild and very similar to halibut in taste with a much lower price tag. It lends itself to a variety of cooking methods. It is medium firm and flaky when cooked. And remember....just like all our fish, it is best not over cooked!

We ship from Asheville, NC. We can ship East of the Mississippi following costs. If you live West of the Mississippi, shipping is an additional $50 to the below rates, as it requires 2 day express shipping. Please check our shipping page for additional information.

Why isn’t shipping free?
We are aware that most of our competitors offer free shipping, however this cost is built into their price. Our 10 lb box of salmon with shipping is similar or less than our competitors, HOWEVER, if you order more than 10 lbs, our flat rate shipping offers a big savings to you!

Ling cod
Good flavor and very fresh. Probably won’t buy again because a fishery that takes fish which can live 90 years is probably not sustainable.

Trying to figure out which cod to get we emailed the list to Alaskan friends. They suggested the Lingcod and did not steer us wrong. It’s fantastic no matter how we prepare it. Love all if the fish from Heidi and Steve but this one was a very pleasant new one for us.
